PAWTUCKET, R.I. – Rhode Island’s governor and Pawtucket’s mayor said Wednesday that it would’ve been irresponsible to make the Pawtucket Red Sox a package like the one Worcester made.

Team officials signed an arrangement Friday that aims to go the Triple-A affiliate with the Boston Red Sox to Massachusetts. Worcester intentions to borrow about $100 million to finance construction of any new stadium.
