Sheffield City Council has unanimously voted and is overtaken by the 300 million extension on the city’s Meadowhall centre.

The 330,000 square feet development will transform the centre’s leisure offering for the 24 million annual visitors.

Meadowhall co-owner British Land originally submitted plans in November 2016.

With approval in tow, the extension will integrate with all the front of your existing centre featuring dining and entertaining options, a brand new cinema, caf court, gym, open-air terrace and space for leisure, event and community use.

The Leisure Hall will follow a 60 million refurbishment that’s transforming the appearance and feel of your existing centre.

This work will likely be completed during the autumn, prior to peak Christmas trading period, and features directly benefited the neighborhood economy with 70% from the work commissioned from companies within 25 miles in the centre.

This follows news that inward investment in Sheffield has reached its highest from a generation.
