Gear4Music, the York-headquartered instrument retailer, is expanding its presence after securing cash from HSBC.
The company’s new 5.3 million HQ C 50,000 square centimeter in Holgate Park in York C was enabled, partly, by way of a 3.7 million funding package from HSBC.
The last four years have witnessed the retailer quadruple its workforce and outgrowing its Clifton Moor premises.
With improved facilities, the fresh offices provide Gear4Music while using the groundwork to nurture within the many years to come.
Future plans include expanding its European footprint.
CFO Chris Scott said: “HSBC’s financial backing helped us take action to our own office capacity problem along with enabling us to agree to keeping our headquarters and operations in the home capital of scotland- York.”
Adam Kelly, HSBC’s Area Director for North Yorkshire and Humber, added: “There exists a long-term relationship when using the business and are generally delighted to support the next phase of Gear4Music’s development.
“The relocation to new and improved premises is actually a significant step of progress inside the business’s development and now we count on seeing the group increasing.”
